About Ellie

Ellie Norris has acquired over 25 years of professional experience supporting drug discovery and development as a trusted and effective technology partner focused on driving responsible, sustainable, and ethical data and analytics capabilities. 

For most of her career, Ellie has worked for the pharmaceutical company Merck & Co., Inc., which is headquartered in Rahway, NJ, USA. She currently serves as the Director of AI Safety & Ethics within R&D IT's new Digital Science & AI Realization Organization, advancing trustworthy and responsible AI adoption across the full research-to-patient lifecycle. 

Ellie served as VP of Content followed by Marketing & Communications for the DAMA Northeast Region before being appointed to President. She holds academic degrees in biochemistry and bioinformatics from Virginia Tech and the University of Manchester respectively.
